Hodgdon Hybrid 100

I tried h-100-v with the 6.5 creedmoor and 110 gr. hammer hunter bullets, norma brass cci 200 primers when I first started reloading for the 6.5 and got around 3100 fps when I stopped and could have used that load. It was a cva scout single shot rifle and very finicky so I tried many powders and bullets before buying a ruger american predator in 6.5 cm and have intentions of trying the h100v in it also. using ramshot hunter 44.1 gr and a 117 gr shock hammer in the ruger with great accuracy but lost a metal rod from my old chrono so dont know the fps yet.

I done a very informal test using the 145 Speer SBT with both StaBal and H-100V. My max load with StaBal was 50 grs for a velocity of 3012 ft/sec and with H-100V I used 49 grs for a velocity of 2912 ft/sec. With H-100V I believe I may have been able to safely go another grain but accuracy was great at 49 so I stopped. What I found with StaBal and disliked is how fast it spikes when getting close to max.. JME

I am working up some loads for my 6mm Remington 95 grain pills using H100V, H4350, and IMR 4451. So far, the H100V looks very good. I haven't seen anyone loading 6.5 StaBall in this round, but it seems to me, to be well suited for it. Does anyone have experience with it in 6 rem.?

I'm sure HAPPY FOR YOU and the NICE WEATHER! P.S......the Mistletoe is in my BACK POCKET! LOL

300wsm 180 AB 62.5 grains works well with my set up ( .6 moa 200yrds ) custom model 70 and
375 ruger 260 partitions 80.5 with that one
( 1"ish 100yrds ) factory ruger Hawkeye Alaskan original model

I run it in a 284 Win it's a hair slower than 4831 sc with 180 HVLD in mine but very accurate. Mind you I don't run anything to the wall

Has anyone compared H-100V against Win StaBall 6.5? According to Hogdon's reload data StaBall 6.5 gets about 80fps more than H-100V with powder charge being only .5gr more. That was looking at 6.5x55 Swede.
HV100 is far more pressure consistent than 6.5StaBall which can spike FAST. When you run ladders with StaBall you really need to recognize the pressure ramps up fast and 0.5 gr increments can get you into red zone too fast. Be aware that's all. HV100 is nice consistent ramp from my experience.

100% agree with this statement from experience. I like Staball but beware on the top end.
