Interesting…first I've heard of their hybrid case. The added velocity gained in the 260 Remington example is amazing. I'd to see more about it for sure.

I read about these a few months ago. If the military uses them they will probably catch on. Big government contracts certainly help get things off the ground.

People have been talking about this for years-- we even have a member here that has done this and posted about it......just think of the possibilities if the hybrid case line is expanded to larger cartridges-- 300rum, 338 nmi, chey-tac , etc

Innovation never stops. Neither does throat erosion or the increasing costs of chasing velocity. I'm struggling with applying two dissimilar materials in a cartridge case and subjecting it to very high pressures.

Nothing new about using stainless steel for the head of the cartridge case.
Years back there was a small company in as i recall NC by name of O Conner who did this.
I think i have a few of them stashed somewhere.
The case was cut off and threaded, and a stainless one threaded on.
The idea was to increase the life of the primer. pockets for the most part.
Try Google, it might still come up.
