Seems reasonable to me.

Cypress Hills interprovincial park boasts(?) The highest density of Cougars in North America.

This is largely due to a distinct lack of competition (there are no wolves or bears in the area).

It's a fascinating area, less than 100mi north of Havre MT - worth a visit if you're ever in the neighborhood.

I read a while back that wolves were running lions off their kills in Yellowstone and killing them if caught. Guess it's true. Makes sense.
