Help Needed

I have these turrets on a older VarxIII and I can't figure out how you would zero them after sight in adjustment. Is anyone familar with them?

They do not "zero" as well as the new models. But what you do is screw the cap down while holding the turret up. You tighten the cap such that when the turret drops into the slot that it is close to the "zero" and then tighten or loosen it a little to get your alignment.

That's about the best you can do. The caps must be about 30 years old, being as that was when I bought my first set of them.
