Help me build a mule deer rifle

So here is what I have narrowed it down to for final build.

300 Win Mag built (aka throated) for 215 grain Bergers
28" 1 in 9 twist Lilja/Brux #4/#5 contour or Bartlien Barrel #3B/#3 light bull sporter contour Fluted.
Manners EH1 stock with full bedding.
Jewell or Timney Trigger.
Stiller or Defiance long action.
Mag fed bottom Metal.
Muzzlebrake.

looking at 8 - 9lb rifle. Final recommendations by Gunsmith.

putting either my Vortex Razor 5 -20 power or my Nightforce 5.5-22 Moar T reticle on it not sure yet.

shooting for total weight in the 10- 11lb for scope and rifle.

Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith for this build.

I have one in mind but want to see what gunsmiths other people recommend before I pull the trigger on this build.

I just recently build a 260. Rem and tried the 140 hybrids with excellent results. The 130 ar hybrids will be my next bullet I try or the 143 eld-x. I'd have no problems using that for mule deer, but this rifle was built more as a go to rifle from 100-1000 yards on coyotes, steel, practise and whitetail within its limitations and the occasional black bear.

But if I were to build strickly a mule deer rifle in the prairies then I'd be hard pressed not to run a 6.5 SAUM or a 7mm of some sort. 284 win on a long action 180gr, 7mm-300. Win mag pushing the 180's would be hard to beat as a killer mule deer rifle.

7MM Mag

Surgeon 1086 action
Krieger stainless barrel = #4 contour, 1-9 twist, 25" finished length
McMillan Rem Hunter Stock
PT&G aluminum "BDL" style bottom metal, Rem mag box, spring, and follower
Jewell or Timney trigger

Excellent! Any of the site sponsor gunsmiths here would be great.

Decided to go with Ryan at Piercision Rifles great guy to talk to and very accommodating with excellent recommendations on the build. Plus he is somewhat close to me only a 5 hour drive.

Why 1-9? No need, especially with a 300 Win Mag. (even up to 240 Grain)
Id rather see you look at barrel options with 5R rifling and 1-10....

Plus, you have so many choices on the table there, it's absolutely daffy.

Pick a weight, and stick to it... If it's a basic badlands/Midwestern rifle 10-12 lbs is fine.... but if you're looking for a mountain setup, time to build something else.

Got the final build put together put the order in with Ryan. Now the wait

Sounds perfect, should be a hammer!

Ryan built me a .338 Edge two years ago and its a tack driver and feels like a .243 with that muscle brake!

Woody at Xring Accuracy. He just put together a 6.5x47 for me. It shoots one hole with 4350.
