Help Case Trimming Problems 338 Lapua

I have a Rcbs case trimmer pro , the recommended shell plate number 14 doesn't work. Any suggestions ?

If your problem is a too snug a fit, the rigby shellholder should work, afterall, the Lapua is a necked down-blown out rigby with a heavy case head. It is #37. I'd call rcbs if that doesn't work.

I had to use #37 also. My dies actually said use #48 and when i couldn't find one at cabelas i asked them if they had any in the back they told me i actually needed a #14. Only maybe half of my new lapua brass fit. I ended up getting #37 online and haven't had any problems. I now see they have it as a #37 on their dies now.

It depends on what brand brass you use. Different brands require different shell holders.
