I just bought a Henry Big Boy .44 MAG, I wanna put a scope on it but don't know what might be an ideal scope for a lever action .44 MAG pistol round rifle. It'll probably be used for target shooting, out of state predator varmints (coyote, etc.), and maybe a little big game (elk & bear). I want a good quality "Made in the USA" product but only have about $400 to spend, $500 max. I like the BDC reticles but most of them are on the cheap Chinese made garbage that floods the market. Please give me some input on what brand & size would suit my needs keeping in my budget. Thanks...

Welcome.

You have chosen a nice classic lever gun but in a cartridge that has very limited range.

Check around on Ebay and you can probably find a nice old M8 4x for under 200.00 that will be plenty of scope for that rifle since 200yds is really a long stretch for the 44 mag.

Save the extra so you can start saving up for a long range rifle and scope for shots beyond that range.
