I will start by saying my old eyes are nothing like they were 50 years ago when I began reloading. Note the 400 yd target attached. Left bull 7wsm 180gr Berger VLD at 2870 fps. Center bull same load. Holding on same center bull 177gr Hammer seated to same depth, same charge as VLD's. Yes they all keyholed!?? Scattered lower right. What in the world did I do wrong?? 15-20 mph quartering headwind.

I have a 1-9 7mmWSM as well. I am quite happy with the 143HH, it scoots!

Yep as these guys said wrong twist. The lighter ones will pick up some good speed also.

With the hammers I like to "over stabilize" I run a 8 twist .300 win mag and it loves the 181s and 199s.
