I like your post about this but I don't really agree with this statement. PP can't define a friend. I can make a friend (or an enemy) on a forum very quickly.

PP is in the money business and doesn't offer things just to be nice. They benefit from the free, unprotected transactions just by having their name on them other wise they wouldn't offer the option. PP knows full well what people are doing with the send-to-friend option . . . millions of PP users are not just settling bets or sending random money to true friends. I don't think we are being un-E at all when we buy something without protection using send-to-friend.
