Update on 77 tang safety 7mm mag grouping, took alot of the great advice given, combined with 168 LRAB ammo and finally got it to group, the one to the left was me not doing my due diligence, but the other 3 are pretty good.

Are these tang safety Rugers the most finicky rifle around? I have been trying to get one of my buddies to shoot and its never under a 1.5 moa or if it does an inch, the same load to confirm it will shoot 2 inches. I have free floated the barrel, crown was terrible so had it cut back and re crowned. Have tried different bullets and powders to no avail. I have learned that in loading to magazine length, it puts it at .040 off the lands or turns into a single shot bolt action rifle. Hornady COAL from the book is .127 off lands. Have messed with the torque of screws a little bit but have not torqued the front screw to 95 inch lbs as FAT wrench only goes to 65. This is the most frustrating rifle have dealt with and about to get rid of it. Sorry its a Ruger M77 22-250 tang safety. Haven't checked serial number on date of manufacturing. Any help would be appreciated and last try will be trying different screw torque settings.
