Nyles - yes, any Rem 700 LA with mag bolt face can be machined to accomodate the 338 Lapua. I know, because I have a 277 AM on a Rem action. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Give me some #'s from your 277AM and where are you getting bullets bigger than 150gr? Im new to long range and if Im gonna do it, Im Gonna do it! I have an LSS in 7mag but Kirby said all he'd do in a SS reciever is .277AM. I really want to go 30 cal but as I look at the info Kirby sent me that EX should be EXXX......And to go along with that I need to aquire some pieces in parts. rather than spend all that on a gun and tear another one to pieces for parts. Im very interested but let me work it out in my head as to which way Im going on the new gun. Thanks!
