DOPE trueing. Who does it and what’s your method?

I would like to hear some of your trueing methods.
How you do it and why!
For instance shooting at 600 to confirm velocity and 1000 to confirm BC.

You got it adjust velocity out to about 600 after that adjust BC until everything lines up

I'm pretty sure that's what they are doing. Shooting and adjusting velocity and BC according to what they are seeing on the target.

I paint about a one inch waterline on targets at 600 and 800. If I'm not on or very near that line at 600 I adjust velocity until I am. Next I go to 800 to verify everything is still good. If I need to make any adjustments at this point I adjust BC to get me where I need to be.

I have to say I've had pretty darn good luck lately using the custom curves in my Kestrel and didn't have to make any adjustments at all with a 6 BR, 300 PRC and 7 Sherman Short.
