Does anyone know Bruce Scott with Scott Precision? Any past experience? What is the quality of his Rifles? I have a contact that can get me a deal through him but would like to do some background checking before I commit to anything.
I hear he is fond of the 300Norma..
Any advice is extremely appreciated.

Are you sure this guy is from Billings, Mt.? I know a lot of shooters from here and have never heard the name or of any company called Scott Precision.

Well I just got his card from my friend. And googled the area code 406 it came up with Billings. My friend also met him while attending a wedding in billings this spring. So I can only assume he is there somewhere. He also told me that he is an old school smith and works off of refurals. NO advertising. Just a business card..

I also pretty much know or at least have heard of all the smiths within 200 miles and have never ran across that name. Could be a new transplant, but I doubt it... I could be wrong .

Area code 406 is for the whole state. It is a big state.

Just looked him up. He is in Florence, MT. That is near Missoula in the far western side of the state. Real pretty there.

If this guy doesn't work out and you are looking for a smith in Billings Mt. I would highly recommend Randy Melvin of Bull Mtn. Rifle Company. Randy has built a few for me and all were excellent.

Hey guys thanks for the info. his business card says he has been building customs since 1981.
My buddy and his dad ordered 2 new guns from him a few months ago. It seems like a good deal.
If I can't find a current customer of his, I will wait to see how theirs shoot. I have a semi custom 7mm300wm now.And I would like to get something full custom in the future. They said he is low key and doesnt do any advertising.
