Anyone ever have any quality issues with Crispi boots? First time lacing up these brand new Crispi Colorado's, and instantly snapped the eyelet off these boots at the trailhead lol.

I've heard nothing but good things about Crispi for years, and I finally decided to pull the trigger on a pair, and this was my first experience. My expectations were deflated, and short break-in hike ended before I even started.

I further inspected the eyelets, and noticed some real shotty work on more than one of the riveted eyelets (photos attached)…

Is this a fluke!?
I sure hope so…😬

Any input would be appreciated from those with experience with the Crispi brand.

Darn!!
Not on any of my Crispis but did have exact thing happen on some Kennetrek pac boots. Cost me $20 to ship back for free repair. Excellent service but still a pita.
Thanks for the input! This is the first time I've ever had any hunting boot fail like this. I'm not really sure what to think at the moment. Definitely not a confidence booster to say the least.

I have 3 different pairs including Colorado and no issues with any of them. You can rest assured that they will replace without any hesitation. Best boots and company out there in my opinion. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I don't know…

I have a $180 pair of sketchers Steel toe work boots I'd rather take into the field at this point lol. And they're going on 3 years, of nearly every day use, in the worst job site abuse you could imagine.

And they have cheap, polymer eyelets that aren't even riveted in like the steel eyelets used in Crispi boots.

I can understand your frustration, but with thousands of boots built or any product there will be some defects. It just sucks when you're the recipient of it. Don't get down on them yet.

not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I appreciate the input.

Where did you purchase them?
Sportsman's warehouse, an extremely reputable dealer. I got an immediate refund, but the issue still stands. Look at the rivets in my photos…it wasn't just the one that literally snapped in half on a moderately tight lace up, with no pack on mind you… the other eyelets were loose too, like a cheap AK lol!

I guess that's kind of the issue though. When a company gets too concerned withpumping
It was probably a bad batch of hardware causing them not to peen out correctly but maybe another model is made better. These Meindl boots of mine are double riveted on the top eyes.
I'll be honest, I'm completely turned off of Crispi right now. I'll be looking to zamberl
out product, the quality goes to the wayside.

for $400, I expect the best of the best. I'll be looking to zamberlans and scarpa at this point.
