Hi. Just wondering if anyone has any experience deer and elk hunting in the Craig, CO / Colorado Wilderness Ranch area. My buddy, (through his daughter's fiance) has access to a small cabin in the Colorado Wilderness Ranch on Grackle Road. He and I are thinking to go and check it out in the summer time but I was wondering if anyone can comment on the hunting opportunities in that area. I understand that CWR has access to national forest in the subdivision. Seems like it could be a cool place to go/hunt.

Thanks!
Jim

Colorado wilderness ranch. Best I can tell it is a recreational subdivision in Craig CO. My buddy and I have access to a cabin there but I have no idea how good or bad the hunting is in that area.

Hunted in Meeker few years ago. Lots of deer and lots of hunters. If its a private ranch you're in much better shape than public land. Cool country, not crazy steep. But still rugged. Good luck to you.
