COL

Just got my 280ai back from gunsmith going to try the berger 168vld col in the
berger book gives a col of 3.330 My question is it safe to push the col out to 3.450 ?
I made up a dummy round at that col and it will chamber in and out with no problems. The gun will be used for deer mainly and maybe some paper killing.
So if anybody out there can give some direction to a freshmen reloader I would be grateful.
