Christensen Mesa feed problem

I'm reaching out on behalf of my nephew who has a brand new Christensen Mesa that appears to have a feeding problem when cycling rounds.

My question is, is this a common thing? Has anyone else experienced the same thing and what was your remedy?

What's the issue?

Apparently it won't feed rounds after you shoot one, jams up. I haven't seen it first hand, just what I've been told

Is it a mag or floor plate? Sounds like the first one is nose diving into the floor plate. Could be loading them wrong. Hard telling without photos

Not sure, I haven't seen the rifle yet to know if it's a mag or floor plate.

I'm hoping to see it soon and cycle some rounds through it to see if I can figure out the issue or see what it's doing first hand.
