Center feed savage question

I have a savage 111 cheap rifle with a plastic magazine. It is a centerfeed but all the stocks I have found say it won't take the DBM on it. Can I buy the internal magazine from savage and install it in a new stock or do I need to sell it and get another rifle? Thanks

I have two savages restocked in Boyd's laminates, one a JRS classic the other a Tacticool. Both inlets were the same shape, and fit my hinged floorplate on the one, and detachable box mag on the other. Just call them and tell them what you have.

Good luck finding the actual magazine (it is the same metal as the fixed magazine well + a floor plate) and the factory bottom metal and trigger guard.

Savage OE parts have been unavailable from the regular sources now for more than 2 years.

Do those Boyd's have pillars in them?

The stocks are laminated wood, no pillars included. A local gunsmith did the work on one of my rifles, and I believe he used pillars from Brownell's. I did the other myself, using the steel sleeves from the plastic factory stock.
