All, I can say is "WOW!"
Have you ever seen something that you just HAD to have? Well, several years ago, I saw a stock made by Joel Russo. I immediately fell in love with his stocks and I made a commitment that I would someday have one. That day has arrived. Over the years, I became a friend of Joels and sent a 300 win mag to him for a "woody." I am a lefty and I had built a 300 win mag on a weatherby Mark V action and we came up with a pattern based off of the Manners tactical. He even had the floorplate engraved with my sniper units emblem........... I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story.

Somewhat picture heavy......

Randy

That looks REAL sweet. Now go take that bipod off, before you scratch up the stock. Too nice to scuff it up. Seriously, that is some real fine craftsmanship.

Thanks for the compliments guys..

This build was fun and challenging to say the least. Thanks you for your patience during the build Randy, I know I went way over on time with this one.

The challenging part was trying to make the Weatherby MK V fit into a stock that was not designed to accommodate it. Not to mention a top shelf Turkish Walnut piece. I actually made a pattern off the EH 1 as my template for inletting and shaping before I started making chips fall off the Turkish piece. That required making two stocks to get one. I embrace challenges.. After I was satisfied with the "dummy stock", I then made the stock you see.

We look forward to seeing "Checkmate" in action this fall:D

I didn't take a lot of pictures along the way, but here are a few that I did snap..
