Checking zero when traveling far

When I go to WY this fall for antelope, not sure what unit yet? But anyways if were hunting public land can we shoot our rifles there? Even if day before season before opens? Or do we need to find a range?
 
If you are on state trust land, check the signs. I encountered several parcels near Cheyenne that were posted no firearms. Probably won't encounter that unless you are near a town but it is good to be aware of that.
 
Good point, I remember seeing a "no target shooting" sign north of Gillette, WY.
