So for those people that use their phone with an app for mapping/hunting--- ( like on-x) and are away from a generator for days

How do you charge your phone/mapping device?

Battery bank? If so how many mAh?

Solar? What if its 4th season with limited sun.

Both? Leave some sort of solar charger at your tent/base camp and take a smaller battery bank with you in your pack?

People strive for "ultralight" gear, but battery banks arent very light .

School me

When I'm canoe camping, I tend to just use a battery bank and conserve power as necessary by turning off all the wireless connects besides what I'm using. Although they aren't lightweight, I'm not sure I'd want to deal with the footprint of a solar panel that was large enough to reliably give me a charge. But, I'm often out the longest in spots that have quite a bit of cloud cover (like Northern VT). If I was in the dessert, might be different. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerC...e-High-Capacity/dp/B07SQ5MQ6K?tag=lrhmag19-20

$33 on Amazon right now. Can charge phone 6-7 times full charge from empty. With airplane mode when you aren't actively using your phone it should last all week.
