I shoot a 338 win mag. 225 gr. bullet. like the added tip they have for expansion. trying to find more input about that model. They are pricey but if they work they work. john b. sorry guys type-o its ceb, cutting edge bullets.

Re: ceb bullets

John,

There are a bunch of us that have used the MTH. The only use of the Lasers that I know of is one of our southern brothers (New Zealand I think). Who started using them in his .375 (Cheytac Imp I think). BC was incredible & he made some amazing ELR shots with it.

Sorry I can't be of more help but, if you like'em, you might as well give'em a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I do have to ask, are you seeing expansion issues with your combo? The expansion of the G05 out of my 6.5wsm was very predictable & never failed me.

I shoot them but have not taken game with them yet...

So far a couple of the 30 cal MTH, a little with the 252grain 338 MTH and the 115grain 270 Copper Raptor.

Hmm, 115 Raptor on Speed Goat at 3800fps. Yes I went 3800fps with it. It could happen.

Thanks guys . I just had my gun reworked and new barrel last year .did a elk hunt this fall, shoulder shot at 225- 250 yrds. Broke both shoulders and hit lungs. Bullet was about 1/2 " under skin opposite side intact no expansion. I cronyd these rounds before I went with a friends graph that had seemed accurate in the past. Said I was pushing bullets 3190 -3210 . 74 gr. of rl-19. I"ll try to post a picture of recoverd bullet.

ok lets see if this works. I'm better at wrench turning than computers

I would be inclined to send that to Cutting Edge.... it ain't supposed to be doing that... You sure you weren't shooting an MTAC rather than an MTH?

Hey outlaw. I still have rounds I loaded and there is a hollow point on all the others. I have a couple more photos I will upload when I get home. The box was marked mth

John, I was wrong when I said that bullet wasn't supposed to perform like that. Below is a picture sent to me by the President of Cutting Edge Dan Smitchko. This is a 30 cal 165. By comparison, your bullet performed exactly as it was designed.

.308 MTH, 165 gr C39, water testing at ~1,800 fps.jpg

Thanks outlaw. New to these bullets, I really like them just picked up some of the lazer style want too how these fly. I get no copper residue at all. I"ll keep you posted.
