Please shoot for neck with the bullets if ur a meat hunter like me... but the reason i'm wanting the 7mm dakota its right in between the 7mm wtby and 7mm stw. Casing is short enuff i think to load the bergers or others out to the lands.. thank ya'll for the in puts

Why not pick one of the gunsmiths here? I think it would be much more personal and you have in the area or 2k plus happy customers on this site I would imagine. Plus all of our guys are hunters and shooters. These guys are some of the top builders in the industry quite and humble, I have worked with most of them and they are all masters of making your dream reality.

(sorry if I forgot you)

I wouldn't go with any unless they actually shoot the guns they sell, and show you the results before sale.

No, I don't work for them. I don't have any of their guns.
But IMO, their business model represents a huge advancement in gun building.
They take all risk off customers, and show you what you're actually buying.
AWESOME

I like ICANHITHIMMAN's advice on using/supporting those here and agree:
"These guys are some of the top builders in the industry"

I can attest for SSG (Nate) quality, accuracy, and detail. Plus Nate is well tooled that makes some very innovative gunsmithing components and does a fair amount of work for other smith's.
The last barrel Nate chambered for me I have now shot 6-times at IBS-1000yd matches that averaged 7.6" (10-shot groups).

Good Luck,
Donovan Moran

I'm gonna have to go with Jim See at centershot rifles. I've got a rifle that he built same caliber and all. It's my all time favorite and I've owned alot of them. A few from other builders on this site as well. They shot very well too, but this one is my favorite.

It has a surgeon rlr action, jewel trigger, 27.5" brux 1-8.7" twist, muscle brake and grey bull stock.

I'm shooting the 180 berger hybrids at close to 3100 fps. It's a mild-hot load and my gun absolutely loves it. It was the second load I tried first seating depth and it shoots easy 1/3 moa to 600 that's as far as I've had a chance to shoot.

is the hybrid good for hunting... i'm lookin at trying the 168gr. berger hunting vld or the gs custom hv bullets..
