Carbon Black Transfer

I have a few McMillan stocks that I have to Inlet from Scratch and need some type of "Carbon Black" or substance that I can put on the Actions and have it transfer to the stock for areas of material needed to be removed for the Inlet. What is anyone using?

I don't do any stock work but I have to sometimes remove wood from areas for other purposes. I use women's lipstick in very bright colors, most are wax based and won't permanently stain wood.

I may have to use some of my bright Pink lipstick unless I get something else .

I have used it as well, but wanted to get away from the flame.

You've never heard of inletting black? Track of the Wolf sells it, as do a few others.
