Hello all
Some of you may know that Samson our family's best friend, protector and faithful companion passed away last month. It is still very hard not having his unconditional love, devotion, and protection around. Samson was one in millions for sure. It's like the end of an era with his passing. Bernese Mountain Dogs usually have a life span of 6-8 years. Samson gave us 10 years 4 months. I still choke up when I look at all the places he would lay and think about all times spent together.
Cassie our Great Pyrenees spent her first year learning how to be a "Protector" of our family from Samson. Cassie and the rest of our animals have been affected and they sense his missing presence.
Well Jill and I just went today and got a Bernese Mountain puppy. He is (5 1/2) weeks old and we can bring him to live with us next week. He will have to fill the big Paws of Samson and we are sure that Cassie will help teach him.
When we saw the pup this morning he was running around, likes to play and barks/growls. Pretty good for a 5 week old pup. He is fat and healthy, probably won't get to 150#s like Samson, but should be big enough to take on Coyotes and protect our family.
Now we have to find a name for him. He needs a name that shows strength, power and admiration.
Would like some help from all our friends on LRH to help pick out a name so please send us your thoughts a good name for our new member of our family.
Thanks
Len & Jill
