I see that Browning put a lot of their 2018 rifles out in 6.5 creedmoor with a 1:7 twist rate and have now moved back to the 1:8 twist.. Any logic in this? I know they're probably backed down the twist rate for some of the heavier bullets that were coming out, but why did they go back to 1:8?

probably ripping up too many bullets, would be my guess?
Not much need for a 7 unless you were shooting long monos

I would guess it comes down to 3 things-- cost, availability, and sales

most people don't need or utilize the 1:7
did sales go up when they were selling the 1:7, or down
did the 1:7 twist barrels cost them more as they are not as common as the 1:8
