Break in with Barnes

Any issues doing barrel break in with a Barnes bullet?
And I know there are lots of folks that will say "just go shoot". I get it.
I'm just going to go with what the guy that made the barrel said to do for break in. Just don't know about using a mono to do it…

I've put a lot of Barnes thru new barrels and never an issue

I would shoot them to get rid of them, then clean the dickens out of your barrel before beginning load work up.

Bryan Blake makes the most accurate barrel I have ever shot. His break in? Shoot it 50 times then clean to bare metal. Done. Anything else is a waste of time.

If a barrel is lapped after cutting/swaging the rifling, then no 'break in' is necessary…however, if the chamber and throat are cut with a less than sharp reamer or not cleaned up, then shooting it to remove burrs from those areas are necessary.
I bore scope every barrel I receive, every barrel after chambering or ANY work done to them. This is the only way to know.

BTW, Barnes bullets will not hurt a thing in your barrel.
