brass polishing?

This is a little off topic but I figure ALL the experts are here. I have a Brass binnacle from a boat that needs cleaning. It is very ornate so hand polishing will be very labor intensive. Is there something I can wash on and wash off to clean it?

Brasso maybe, but that is not a wash on and rinse off.

does Brasso come in liquid form? I remember it in a paste from back in the military. Paste would be hard to get out of all the nooks and crannies.

Not sure. It has been awhile since I have used it too. Good luck

Saw this on the internet:

Mix together 1/2 cup of vinegar, a teaspoon of salt, and a sprinkling of flour until it forms a paste. Spread the mixture on the brass and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Rinse with cool water and dry. (This method also works on corroded brass.)

yes sir, Brasso does come in a liquid form. Try Wally World or even the super market.
