Brag Board fkr the kids

My daughters first buck from last fall. She's shot 4 deer total with her .243 and taken 4 shots. Not one deer has gone more than 10 feet.

We were on a hill and I was glassing a slough. I could just see the tops of his tines at about 400 yards. We snuck over to a rock pile and she got set up with the bipod but we couldn't find him.

After about 20 minutes I found him again and he started moving out of the slough in a low spot. I ranged him at 130 yards when he stepped out and told her to shoot whenever she was ready. I barely got it out of my mouth when I heard the shot and I saw him collapse through my binos. I was really proud.

I looked at her and said "Congratulations. I didn't want to tell you before but that's a really big buck."

My kids had a great season last fall, these are all from fall 2022. I'm jealous, they get to do everything I wanted to do as a kid!
They've been giving their 10/22's a work out and the 243 hasn't treated them badly either.

I like it. Reminds me of when I was a kid. My favorite thing in the world was going out to my grandparents farm where I had free range to hunt the sparrows, starlings, pigeons, rabbits and squirrels. Grandma even cooked my rabbits and squirrels when I shot them. She had a giant garden and was especially pleased when I shot rabbits.

They made me wait until fall to harass the ducks, geese and pheasants.
