That was a good explanation of the issues, makes more sense now. I read the entire thread but somehow missed the fact your friend IS the gunsmith. Really sorry I misread things. No excuse for my error.

I would be disgusted too. Print and numbers on the reamer are both off, that is terrible. To top it off the owner of the rifle has a chamber with a ton of freebore. I don't blame your friend for being sour on PT&G.
 
I talked to Dave and he said you want where the bullet is .306 diameter to be at the first step for the best results. The first step is at 2.954, I will need a coal of 3.792 to reach that and that is fine because it will fit in the mag I will be running. The reamer will be here next week and my barrel from hart will be here by June. I will post how it worked out when I am done. Thanks everyone for the help
