Hi everybody,

I'm after some reload data on Berger 230gr Match Hybrids.

I am currently building a 308 Savage 12 into a purpose built FT/R and plan on using 230gr match Hybrids.
I'm having alot of trouble trying to find a safe starting load, I'm from Australia and only really have access to ADI Powder.
I've emailed Berger with no response, has anybody got some data for this set up?

Thanks

I tried them in a 308 win. 230 gr match target hybrid into rifling. Fed 210 primer, twice fired lapua brass, 45 gr of RL-17 was my starting load. Didn't go past 46 gr which yielded 2460 fps and was accurate.

Not sure if you can get this powder so all the data may be worthless, You can substitute H4350 but will not get the velocities.

I based my starting load on some data from a friend who has shot many heavies in a 308 win:'
warning these could be hot in your rifle but at least you get a clue.

Frabeb,
We had a small issue with our e-mail but it has been fixed. Our apologies for the inconvenience. What ADI powder are you wanting to try? Also ,why the 230 grain? The 185 Juggernaut and the 200 grain Hybrid are what most of the long range FT-R and others are using in the .308 Winchester. Please feel free to either respond here or at [email protected].
