Bear Validation in California

So ive heard that if you harvest a Black Bear in California that you have to take to Skull or head to the District office around Sacramento to get a tooth extraction. what if you harvested your bear in the North eastern corner of the state....................is there someone else who could do it closer

As far as I know you can contact the warden in that area and they can instruct you where to go.
