Barrel Threads

Can someone tell me if the large ring and small ring Mauser actions have the same barrel threads?

Same TPI but a different dimension if that is what you are wondering. Large ring is 1.1" x 12 TPI small ring is .980" X 12 TPI. Also people argue proper thread angle, 60* or 55*, I believe 55* is the proper thread angle. Hope this helps

So a barrel from a small ring wont work in a large ring and vise versa

Correct, different shank/tenon diameter for small and large ring actions. Scroll down to post 8 in this thread, he took the time to write up a lot of info on various Mauser actions.
