Are all Factory barrel threads the same??

The reason that I ask, I have a Ruger in 338 Jamison that I would like to remove and reuse for a custom in 338 Norma. I think that the chambering would be removed in the process. Please correct me if I am wrong!

Just the threads per inch. I just don't want the threads to have to be completely removed in order to do what I want.

Thank you for the response. Now if I can confirm if the current chamber will be removed I'll be set. I am pretty sure that it will, just need to get both drawings side by side.

Again Thank you

morning, thread count is the big factor. a good gun smithy will know the thread

count of a particular rifle action. the barrel u have should have the same thread count

per square inch. the next option is cut the barrel and rethread and chamber.

hope this helps. the people at LRH will know of a good gun smithy.
