Barrel fluting

About how much weight doesn't it take out of a barrel I have a brick I think number 5 and it's a little front end heavy

I recently had an Encore barrel done that is a 24" Bull Barrel and I think we did 6-7 flutes? Shaved about a pound off!

The most you can expect to remove from a #5 is about 6 ounces.

Yeah, Kampfeld is near me. He does great work, also had him Cerakote the barrel as well!

I agree with Edd, your not going to get a pound off of a #5 contour!

We got near 3 pounds off a couple Chey Tac barrels. They are big flutes.
