Barrel fluted to the muzzle???

I had a 6 ppc that was 24" fluted. I shot the 4000 rounds through it as fast as I could lock and load at p. dogs shooting out the leade+. I cut it off to 20" leaving the flutes all the way to the end...it shot in a tiny ragged hole...I put another 6000 rounds through it.

Kind of makes the barrel look like it really was made from a truck axle. I like the look. As long as the brake threads fully engage the minor diameter of the valley of the splines or flutes that is, I don't see why a brake couldn't be installed. I'm sure Kirby could figure it out and make it work.

I did have a break on the end of my 6PPC, even at 20". Many times I saw the bullet traveling to the varmint. Really Cool!
