Barnes LRX

Did you ever pursue this load and come up with any data? I recently picked up some 145gr LRX for my 280 due to not being able to find any 140gr Nosler Ballistic tips at the moment

I wouldn't hold your breath for a reply from the OP. Total of 3 posts from 2013-2018, with his last post over 2 years ago.

I haven't heard back from Barnes regarding load data for it yet and would rather not use up precious powder chasing down a load for it at the moment

Barnes website lists load date for the 280 using 140gr and 150gr Barnes bullets. For 280 AI they have load data for the 145 LRX.

I have a non AI Remington 700 for the moment being, few years down the road it may become an AI. How would AI data and non AI data correlate?

If you have a standard 280 Remington, I would review the Barnes load data for the 140gr bullets and 150gr bullets for that cartridge. The LRX is not so different from the other Barnes bullets. You should be able to find a reasonable starting place using those data and then work up to a safe pressure. FYI, Barnes recommends a minimum of 0.050" jump to the lands for all of their bullets.

I received an email regarding the load data for the 145 LRX, barnes quickly emailed be back with updated load data for the 280. If anyone needs/wants it please let me know and i will forward the email
