I want to load the 129g Barnes LRX in my 270WSM. Does anyone have a good load with IMR4350, H4350 or Retumbo? Is it ok to use the 130g load data? The Barnes book is pretty weak with load information.

Thanks

In my 270WSM I worked up the 129gr LRX with 62.4gr of R19 at OAL 2.850 yielded 3260fps shot less than 1/2"MOA. My 130 TTSX load in same rifle used 60.6 IMR4350 OAL of 2.800 yielded 3350fps and less than 1/2" MOA. 140gr TSX 61gr R19 3150fps 2.730 oal and 1/2"MOA. Pretty happy with these Barnes result.

I just got 3 boxes to use in my t3 and with the lrx and rl-17 I get 1/2 moa at 3430 fps. I think h4350 would work really good for you.

3430 fps that is sizzlin'. I hit about 3350 at with the IMR 4350 but the bolt was just tight. I'm going to back off and play with seating depths tomorrow.
Thanks

What bullet jumps did you guys have? I want to load up some 129 lrx and some 140 tsx for my long throated t3. I think Barnes suggests .050 off the lands; to touch the lands I would have to load the TSX to 2.985 and the LRX to 3.085, definitely more than a 0.50 jump. thanks.

I went right off Barnes website with the specs and hogdon website has lots of starting loads also. I believe 60-61grs. Don't have the data close but sub 1" at 200 yards with a factory gun. I've found the Barnes bullets in all forms are not seating depth specific.

I finally gave up on the LRX. Kept getting high pressure and poor groups. I ended up going with the 130g TTSX for the season. I have now purchased some 145g Sledge Hammers but have not had time to work them up yet
