Who makes the brass that Barnes uses?

Remington loads Barnes ammo, brass just has a different head stamp.

I was told the same thing from Barnes, but they Wouldnt tell what powder they were using. I have a savage long range hunter that shoots the 180 gr TTSX Vor- Tex really well.

They use Alliant powder.

Sorry, guess it's a big secret.
17, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26, 4000-MR are all listed on their site for 180gr 300winmag loads.

I'd go with rl22 or rl23....

The standard load for a 300win with a 180 and alliant powder has been 75 rl22 with a 215 lighting the fire for years... Work up to that with your ttsx as the bore drag may well be different than lead core pills... 24" bbl.'s are usually able to get just above 3100 fps safely with a 180 and rl22; 3150 fps with a 26" tube...
