AO scope for coyote carbine?

I know this is about scopes, but I don't think that carbine and long range are in the same league. Anyway, I am shopping for a scope, and have to decide between a 100 yard parallax or an AO on some of the scopes I am looking at. I will be shooting in Central and North Texas, as well as maybe Central Oklahoma. Gun is a 16" AR, and will have an offset mini red dot sight on the handguard, so the close stuff will be trained for a shot that way, I hope
