Any experience with Sightronics scope?

I have a buddy that wants to sell his Sightronics 6-24x50 scope to me. I've read some pretty good reviews online but wondered if anyone else has any personal experience with one; good or bad? I just don't have the funds to spend on a Leupold or Nightforce scope.

IMO, The Sightron SIII scopes are the best scopes you can buy for under $1000. If it is in good shape, jump on it.

Thanks for the feedback! I did check this one out and it is not what I'm looking for; it has a very thin, simple crosshair reticle and 'dust' caps on the turrets.

I have a SIII 10-50 for competiton and love it

+1 on the SIII Sightron. IMO, best bang for the buck out there.
