Anyone know the torque spec for the action screws on a Seekins Havak Element? Don't see action screws listed on their website. Calling is futile.

I use 45 lbs on mine. No problems.

I've been using 65 in/lbs on all of my pillar bedded, synthetic stocked rifles. My smith actually gave me the pre-set T handle torque wrench.

Many times torque settings are specified by the stock or chassis maker. .338 dude post^^^^^^ is fairly accurate, if time and conditions allow I try different settings from 45-65 in lbs, v-block and pillar bedded stocks, starting at 45 and go up.

I contacted Seekins and the spec for the action is 55in/lbs. The rail is 25 in/lbs
