Ackley gauges

Gentlemen
Seem to have developed an Ackley Improved interest. Have found correct headspace gauges. They seem to be more costly than SAMMI. Quick question for the experienced. Would a go gauge of the parent case shortened .003 at the base become a correct go gauge for the AI version ? Second would the parent go gauge left unmodified be a AI no go gauge ?

i use the parent go as a no go for my wildcats.
example: made a 6.5 creedmoor hybrid that uses 260 brass and headspaced with the 308 go gauge as the no go.
