Need advice on a build. I currently have a short action XLR carbon chassis. I want to build a 7mm SAUM but have a few questions. I'm planning on using a Deviant Defiance med action with a 28" Bartlein barrel. I will be using alpha mags. I know I will be limited to 2.95" coal. I want to be able to shoot 180 Berger hybrids. How much free bore will I need? I don't want to buy a new chassis so I have to stay with a short action. I have been doing a lot of reading and am hearing some say a short action will work others say a long action is the way to go. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith to chamber, thread and install this on my action?
