7mm SAUM 180 Hybrid Load......Build it like I say and it will shoot with this load!!!

175 and the 180 I have both and have you used in your proofs ?

I have burned 2 saum proof barrels out as of date. I currently have 6 - 7mm SAUMS all proof barrels built and shooting. I have gone through at least 1500 of 175's and around 3500 180's, (even 168's). So yes I have shot both. I like both. I like the 175 better for deer. A little more explosive. The 180's seem to be a little tougher. So tough at times if you hit bone on a deer you can pretty much run your arm through the carcass after you skin them. They are super easy to tune in the saum. They hit hard and will run to 1000 yards. They both like RL23, N565, N560, RL26, H1000 being the slowest. The only other bullets I run in them now is Hammer 143 HH's at 3,300 fps. I shoot them in one gun exclusively.

I have 2 proof 8.4 Twist 24" barrels on the shelf in the package and one 27" CarbonSix coming to play with 195 EOL's.

I have a barrel being done by CarbonSix right now. It's a 27" 7mm SAUM barrel throated for 195's. I sent them my dummy rounds. They're gonna look sick looking. So my goal is to push the 195's and see if I can get them to 180 speeds with the longer barrel.
Just curious why you wouldn't try a 7 Sherman Max for shooting 195s……?

Well I have all the 7 saum supplies I need. I have probably 1000 pieces of Adg brass. Kids all shoot the 7saum. Just curious mostly. I have nothing in the Sherman max. I have 3 28 noslers, 2 7RM's, 7-08 and the saums. 7saum is my favorite of all time for the 7mm's. I like shooting a lot. It's easy to shoot. So I guess that's why. I do have everything to build and load a 7mm PRC but refuse to use Hornady brass so waiting until October when Adg hits the shelves.

It sounds to me that you are adequately armed. :>)

Bumping this thread. Got 2lb of N565 coming tomorrow or next day. I'm close to settling on a load with h1000, but I'm gonna cook a load with Longtine's recipe & see where chips might fall…..
(starting low & working up of course)

@Longtine88
You have a recipe for the 143 HH? I have Re-23,
& N560 on hand & was going to start there.
Thx.

I run RL26 @ 67.5 grains at 3,301 fps out of a 22" and was getting .1 to .2 moa out to 500 yards. Got lots of one hole groups with this load. I never tried another powder. If I did it would be N560
