I have a 7 LRM that shoots the 180 gr burgers comfortably just over 3000fps
But I am always looking to improve. Anyone with experience with the new 195 gr Berger?

IMO don't waste your time or your barrel's life trying the 195.

I just crunched the numbers. Lets say you can get 2900 fps with the 195 which I doubt. The 180 and the 195 are very similar in performance. Sure the 195 will yield a bit more energy but the 180 has a flatter trajectory. The 180 will also have more velocity out to 850 yards then the 195 equals the 180. The 195 does have slightly lower wind drift.

500 yds:
180 8.3" drift (10 mph 90 degree crosswind) 2509 ft/lb
195 7.9" drift 2620 ft/lb

1000 yd:
180 36.8" drift 1691 ft/lb
195 34.3" drift 1834 ft/lb

Your choice. If you can see how fast the throat erodes in this 7mm as viewed from a bore scope perhaps you would be happy with the 180s.

Very interested as well since I picked up a couple of boxes to try out. Just have not gotten to it yet b/c I kind of rotate through my rifles :)

As an aside, could you PM some of your load data for the 180's? I have only worked up the Barnes 168gr LRX but would like to have an idea of what a starting load would be with the 180's.

Also if could you tell me what your brass weight is with your charge and powder, it would help me out allot on where to start. Thanks.
