700 serial # question

I was offered a 7oo rem action which is supposed to have a "C" in the serial number.
My question is, is there such,and is it a good thing.
I am building a whby,and plan on using a 7oo action.
This is my first post,so take it easy on a newby.

Remington started using the "C" prefix serial number in 11/87.

Neither good or bad.
