7 Saum RL 23 Data

Just wanted to share some 7 Saum data that has worked well in 3 different barrels.

I have shot RL23 between 59.7-60.0 in 3 different barrels and it's a great performer. Only difference is this barrel shot Fed 210 primers very well.

First pic is 100 yards just (2) shots each charge weight working my way across. Second pic is a 600 yard group.

Sorry guys. 180 hybrids. 2900 fps for every barrel. Has shot some 1" groups at 600.

What's your COAL?

Hornady tools leaves me at 2.400. But coal is probably close to 3.150. I haven't measured that for a while. It does fit in a XM action.

I was thinking the other day when I saw you post a velocity you were leaving some on the table.

22" barrel, it now has enough rounds to chrono it again….

I run RL23/175 EH out of 2 diff 7saums. One a SA, the other is an XM defiance with long freebore. Both have 24" bartlein carbon 8 twists. Both run the same node around 2930-2960. One at 59.9gr, the other at 60.7gr. Very accurate and consistent.

How many grains were you at on the RL23? I am trying a 22" barrel as we speak. Using 59.0 grains at 2,875 fps average. But one hole groups like under .1 moa lol. Checking drops now to confirm.

58.5. I was at about 2,780 but under 100 rounds on the barrel. Normally I see speed up around 120-150 and 5-6 cleanings.
