Looking for some recommendations. Having a hard time finding Berger 175 Gr Elite hunters. Getting pretty desperate and may have to make switch. Any recommendations on something similar that's more available these days?

Yes, they have been scarce, and when it is available, they go quickly. What is your twist rate? Have you considered the 168s?

I just ordered 168g from https://blackholebullets.com/see-products to try in my 7MM SAUM. They are also 180s. I will keep an eye on them for you here in Great Falls and ping you. Good luck!

It's a 1:8.4. I'll check those out, will be driving through their location on Monday. Thanks you!

I couldn't get 175's in any flavour when I built my switch barrel Rem 700 in 264WM/7STW, so I went with Nosler 168g ABLR…very happy with that choice.
They shot the very first group while running in the barrel into a 5/8 MoA group at 200 and, the following groups only got tighter.
Best it has done with them was 3 consecutive 3/8 MoA 3 shot groups at 300…very impressive and has not shown ANY flier issues at all.

Cheers.

We are all having way too much trouble finding the Berger bullets we have been used to shooting.

Here is the list that Graf & Sons has both in stock and gone:

https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/918?

There are other brands and other styles of bullets which you can substitute for the Bergers. You will find that there are several weights, styles and manufacturers which will serve you well and you can find in stock.

Currently I'm using the Hornady 166 gr. A-Tips and the Badlands 150 gr. in the Rem Mag.

Enjoy!

:)

I seem to buy .284 bullets anytime I can find them right now. With your 8.4 twist you can get away with those longer pills. My biggest issue is now I have 10 different bullets to load test in two different rifles. 3 Bergers, 5 Hammers, and 2 Nosler. That can get time consuming and expensive. Good luck.
