6.5 sherman q&a

I'm also fixing to order the 123 AH to try in 6.5 Sherman and 6.5 SS, so I'd be interested in load data for both.

I have 2 new builds that are coming next week that'll put me in the "poor house" for awhile, or I would've ordered them already. Also, I'm thinking the 155 AH might be great in my 7MAX.

Rich, what powders do you think would work on the max with 155?
Maybe a case FULL of 26?
H100v might be good too

H-100hv is right there with RL-16, H4350 and Staball in burn rate. I have lots of H-4350 & 11# of RL-16. Maybe rl-23???

Scratch that completely! I need to guit answering multiple posts at once.
I was working with a guy running a 30 with a 110!!
DO NOT load those loads in a 6.5 and your velocity wont be 3700 either😲😲

Got it. Do you have any suggestions for 110s in the 6.5 Sherman?

It is the same burn rate (a little slower) but it will give more velocity. I think the new N555
would be good too.
23 will work if 26 does since it will fill the case with almost 3 grains less for the same pressure but about 50' less velocity

I think the powders I mentioned like H4895, Varget, etc might be good. Its a bit of a guess on charge but I would start about 55 grains. Something like H414 might work too.
If the fast powders dont get it done, something as slow as the Burn rate of 7828 might be worth a try?

about to start load development for my 65 sherman. running rws brass. I already run the 156 eol in my 65 Max so was wanting to try either the 144 berger hybrid, 143 eldx, or the 147 eldm.

will be using for whitetail, antelope, and Muleys. I live in Texas so will be running either h1000, n570, or RL23.

saw in the load data that someone ran 143eldx at 3290 with 57 grains of RL23. That's intriguing, I assume thats a pretty hot max load?

Im not sure that thats not a misprint?
I think 3190 is more likely but work up slowly and let us know.
